News somewhat unexpectedly broke yesterday that Summer House stars Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard had called off their engagement—and that Carl had ended things. On camera.
Just so we're all on the same dramatic page, a source told Entertainment Tonight that "The two were set to get married in November, but Carl told Lindsay he couldn't move forward with the wedding. The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out on the next season of Summer House."
TBD on what went wrong, but a source tells Us Weekly that “It’s all so raw," and that "the dust hasn’t settled with it yet.”
Apparently Lindsay was “blindsided” by Carl breaking things off so suddenly—especially publicly. By which I mean on camera, in a scene thousands of viewers will doubtless watch.
“He did call off the wedding on camera,” the source said, noting that it was “so mean” and that “a normal person who loves someone wouldn’t break up with someone they love on camera. No matter how many problems you may have, you don’t do something like that on camera for the world to see their reaction.” That said, apparently a "devastated" Lindsay and Carl “might get back together tomorrow,” so...we'll see what happens?
Either way, the “cast had already wrapped filming and now they are picking it back up,” so looks like this will all be unfolding next season.
