Sooooo as you may have heard, Dalton Gomez and Ariana Grande are reportedly ending their relationship—and Dalton is dating other people. At least according to TMZ—which broke the news of their split. As the outlet put it: “We’re told Dalton has been dating over the last few months, which was fine with Ariana.”
Their sources also said the former couple were “shocked” that news of their split didn’t break sooner.
Speaking of ~sources~, a TON of insiders (three via Entertainment Tonight alone) have spoken out about what led Ariana and Dalton to end their relationship, and TMZ also offered some new info in its report about Dalton dating.
Apparently, Dalton was “taken aback by Ariana’s celebrity” when COVID restrictions were lifted and “would sometimes question why they needed to go around town with security, something that was a must for Ariana.” These major differences made the marriage “unravel,” and being long-distance also added tension when Ariana started filming Wicked in England.
As one of those aforementioned Entertainment Tonight sources put it, “Ariana and Dalton have had issues for a while and tried working through them but couldn’t. Ariana has been filming Wicked overseas and working a lot. The couple ultimately decided to end things.”
Neither Dalton nor Ariana has confirmed their split, but Ariana sparked initial speculation that something was up when she appeared at Wimbledon without her wedding ring. She posted photos from the event yesterday as the internet blew up about her personal life and appears to remain unbothered:
