After more than a full year of waiting, Selling Sunset is back. The reality show’s sixth season premiered May 19 on Netflix, complete with new drama and some new faces. One of those new faces belongs to model and real estate agent/reality TV perfection Bre Tiesi, who you probably know best for her onscreen (and offscreen, it seems) clash with Selling Sunset costar Chelsea Lazkani.
For anyone wading into spoiler territory before watching the full season, Bre and Chelsea’s nemesis status was cemented in season 6 episode 4, when Chelsea got openly critical about Bre’s home life with her boyfriend Nick Cannon.
“I find Nick Cannon and Bre’s relationship rather off-putting,” Chelsea said (per People). “Ultimately, the way I live my life is very different to her, as a Christian, so I don’t know if we will ever be super-super-close friends.”
So, yeah, big yikes. Here’s what else you need to know about Bre Tiesi now that she’s a member of the Selling Sunset fam.
Her drama with Chelsea Lazkani is real.
Ahead of the season 6 premiere, People asked Bre about all that onscreen drama between her and Chelsea and where they stand now. Instead of assuring fans that the drama wasn’t as bad as the edit made it seem or that she and Chelsea have risen above it and become friends (or at least firmly Not Enemies), Bre made it clear that things are still very tense between them.
“I stand nowhere with Chelsea except very far away from her,” she said. “I am good on her. I wish her the best, and she can sort out whatever issue it is that she seems to have with me and my family. Sounds like she needs to figure that out.”
Specifically, Bre thinks Chelsea took things too far (and that making good TV isn’t an excuse for it).
“It goes a little too far, in my personal opinion. We’re on a show; we’re here to make TV. I get it. But also, this is my real life and not everything is as someone tries to make it seem,” Bre added. “I won’t defend my relationship and my family. I feel like I’ve done enough of that. But I’ll say we’re very happy over here and Chelsea’s the only one with the problem.”
She did make friends on Selling Sunset though.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK about Selling Sunset season 6, Bre revealed that the cast member she bonded with most IRL was Heather Rae El Moussa.
“I was actually shocked that the person I’m the closest to was Heather,” she explained. “I didn’t see that coming. I love Heather so much. We’re so close to this day; her personality is just so bubbly and sweet. I’m a little bit more spicy and dry and cold sometimes, so I did not think Heather would be the person I would gravitate to so much.”
She shares a son with Nick Cannon.
Bre and Nick welcomed their son, Legendary Love Cannon, in June 2022, and their happy family pics have been a highlight of Bre’s Instagram grid ever since.
“It’s still so surreal to me that we MADE this angel,” she captioned a post a month after Legendary Love’s birth. “To look at his precious face and see pieces of us both is the most indescribable feeling. Little man had only been earthside a few hours here. 🤗 He’s already growing and changing so fast. 🥹💙”
She used to be married to Johnny Manziel.
In March 2018, Bre and former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel tied the knot in a very small, private courthouse ceremony in California after less than two years of dating. At the time, a source told People, “She’s good for him and balances him, and he’s crazy about her.”
By March of 2019, however, Bre and Johnny had separated, and in November 2021, their divorce was finalized.
She turned down a chance to appear on earlier seasons of Selling Sunset.
Bre is new to the Selling Sunset cast, but Netflix actually wanted her for the show before now. As she explained to Cosmopolitan UK, the timing just wasn’t right before (but thankfully, now it is).
“They actually asked me in earlier seasons, and I wasn’t really ready to take that leap and put my whole life out there to the world, especially with my relationship,” she explained. “But when they came back to me after my pregnancy [with Nick Cannon] was announced, I was in a different place and I ended up accepting. I’m glad I did—it’s been an interesting ride.”
Before she got into real estate, she was a model.
As your eyeballs probably guessed the second you saw her, Bre has also worked as a model—a job she “fell into” as a teenager.
“I had never in a million years even considered or thought about it. I actually started dating somebody and he was in the industry,” she told E! News in June 2022 of her modeling origin story. “He had a show at the time, him and his family, and I was 16, and his mom was like, ‘You should model.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know. I think I actually want to be a surgical technician.’ And she’s like, ‘No! There’s not enough money in that.’”
She also has plenty of TV experience.
Selling Sunset is definitely shaping up to be a breakout gig for Bre, but it’s not her first time doing the whole reality TV thing—her other TV credits include appearances on Love & Listings, WAGS, and, unsurprisingly, Nick’s long-running series Wild ’n Out.
“I had a bunch of friends and they were all going to Wild ’n Out to watch the show,” she told E! News of her experience on the series. “And Dave Osokow, we call him the celebrity babysitter. He’s like everyone’s best friend, and I knew him from the club days. He was like, ‘I want to introduce you to Nick and take you to the show.’ I had never been to something like that and I went to the show that night and then met Nick. Maybe a year or so later, I started at Wild ’n Out, so I actually didn’t start right away.”
She’s obsessed with fitness.
In addition to modeling, starring on reality TV, and selling high-priced real estate, Bre also dabbles in the fitness industry (she has a fitness show called Elevate With Bre on OF.TV and her own 12-week fitness program, Body by Bre). She says she got her love of all things fitness from her parents.
“My dad was an MMA fighter and grew up in the gym, and my mom is a nutritionist and has that whole side,” she told E! News. “That’s just always been such a huge part of my life that I didn’t even realize how lucky I was to grow up with.”
She *will* be in Selling Sunset season 7.
If you’re loving Bre already, you’ll be happy to hear that she’s in season 7 and that she actually prefers it to season 6.
“Season 7 is a lot more fun for me,” she told Cosmopolitan UK. “You get to see a lot more of my personality and my bond with the girls. It’s very different to 6. I had a lot more fun and I just loved my relationship with the girls. And of course the real estate and the fashion is always top-tier. So I think that’ll be really cool to watch.”
