After about a week of speculation, ~sources~ are finally coming through with details about what’s going on with Taylor Swift and Matty Healy. First up, an insider tells Entertainment Tonight (who, reminder, broke the news of Taylor’s split with Joe Alwyn), “Taylor and Matty like each other. Taylor has a crush on Matty and they are having a good time hanging out. Matty also thinks Taylor is awesome and incredibly talented too. They dated briefly in the past.”
And ANOTHER insider revealed that “Jack Antonoff reconnected them.”
Meanwhile, Us Weekly spoke to someone who confirmed Taylor and Matty dated “years ago” and that “they’re looking to give things a second chance” and “having a good time reconnecting again.” Oh, and apparently, Taylor “really likes” Matty, is “happy spending time with him,” and “they both respect and admire each other’s talent.”
Welp. This has been an update! Before we go, though, it should be noted that Matty fully denied Taylor dating rumors back in 2015, saying on a radio interview, “It’s fake. It’s all bloody fake. It’s a farce! We met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do, and we spoke occasionally. She’s the biggest pop star in the world and I’m in Australia. There’s no relationship or anything happening. It’s just funny how people really, really buy into that.”
