JoJo Siwa recently came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and—as she told her followers—she has “never, ever, ever been this happy before and it feels really awesome.” JoJ0 spoke more about the experience of coming out during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and revealed she has “the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world.”
JoJo didn’t reveal the identity of her girlfriend but said she was supportive when JoJo came out publicly. “The day after I posted on TikTok, I was on FaceTime with her, and we were just talking about it and talking about all of the love that came in, and we were both like technically I still hadn’t confirmed it,” JoJo said. “And I was like, I kind of want to post this picture on my real story. She was super encouraging, like, ‘Do it!’ I was like, ‘Alright, I did it.’”
JoJo went on to say that coming out can be a “very scary thing,” but “even if there’s a million people—that’s a lot of people—that don’t accept it, there’s a hundred million that do.”
“I was like, ‘Technically, that was a really big risk that I took posting that,’” she continued. “But if I lost everything that I’ve created because of being myself and because of loving who I want to love, I don’t want it…if I can’t love who I want to love. That’s one of the most important things to me.”
JoJo said she also spoke to her girlfriend right before her Fallon interview, saying, “I was again on the phone with my girl and I started crying. She’s like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I’m like, ‘I’m just so happy.’ I was like, ‘Because now I get to share what makes me the happiest with the world, and it makes my heart so happy.’”
