While there are a lot of Met Gala rules and restrictions that guests are required to follow, there is one freedom that I’d like to point out: You can show up pantsless. Exhibit A: Sabrina Carpenter’s leggy look, which takes the crown for the Best No-Pants Look at the 2025 Met Gala (a totally legit and not-made-up superlative that we put together just for hee-hee-ha-has).
The “Please Please Please” singer/the people’s favorite horny pop princess showed up in a custom Louis Vuitton maroon bodysuit with thin black pinstripes, a cropped matching blazer, and bare legs.
Oh, and let’s not forget the matching sky-high platform heels and anklet!!
In case you missed it, this year’s Met Gala theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and the dress code was “Tailored for You,” so viewers expected to see a lot of suiting and menswear-inspired details. Sabrina’s interpretation? Fine tailoring, a strong silhouette, and maybe just a dash of revenge dressing (because yes, her ex Barry Keoghan was there).
