Thankfully, Glen Powell is not always wearing a wig and prosthetic makeup on Chad Powers. You will be able to recognize the Anyone But You star occasionally on the Hulu/Disney+ series. Actually, you should recognize a lot of the Chad Powers cast members. The comedy series, which was co-created by Powell and Michael Waldron, has some serious heavy hitters. (I knoooow that's not a football metaphor, SHHHHHH!!)
Based on a prank/skit from Eli Manning's old documentary series Eli's Place, the series follows a "canceled" college football player who reinvents himself as an unknown hillbilly named Chad Powers and walks on to the South Georgia University team as its new star quarterback. The show features cameos from Manning himself, as well as Haliey "Hawk Tuah Girl" Welch and Sammy Fabelman Gabriel LaBelle. Powell is on record wishing for a Taylor Swift cameo in the future. But the main cast is not too shabby. Here are the seriously funny seasoned performers bringing this silly story to life.
Glen Powell plays Russ Holiday a.k.a. "Chad Powers"
After a major and televised scandal, Russ Holiday's college athlete career is ruined. So he does a "Mrs. Doubtfire but with football" and walks onto the South Georgia Catfish with a wig and a prosthetic nose. Welcome to the team, Chad Powers!
Powell is best known for legacy sequels like Twisters and Top Gun: Maverick, romantic comedies like Set It Up and Anyone But You, Richard Linklater comedies Everybody Wants Some!! and Hit Man, and the Ryan Murphy series Scream Queens. Next, you can see him on the big screen in Edgar Wright's The Running Man.

Steve Zahn plays Coach Hudson
The head coach of Russ/Chad's new team is taking a big chance on this bizarre alleged nobody. But he could be exactly the type of mentor he needs.
Zahn is an hilarious indie/character actor you know from Reality Bites, That Thing You Do, Dallas Buyers Club, Captain Fantastic, Shattered Glass, and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.

Perry Mattfeld plays Ricky Hudson
Ricky is on the team staff as an assistant coach. She's also the coach's daughter... but keep that to yourself!
There's a slight chance that Disney kids recognize Mattfeld as "FrankenGirl" from Wizards of Waverly Place. She starred in the CW series In The Dark and appears in the movie The Idea of You. She's also married to New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and is therefore no stranger to the football scene.

Frankie A. Rodriguez plays Danny
Danny is the Catfish, meaning that he's the team mascot. At the beginning of the series, he's the only one at South Georgia who knows Chad's true identity. The two become unexpected friends. Danny helps Russ out with Chad's makeup, lore, and housing.
Rodriguez starred in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series as student choreographer Carlos. That Disney+ series, while obviously geared towards a younger audience than Chad Powers, is genuinely so funny and worth checking out ASAP. Rodriguez can also be found on Will & Grace, Modern Family, and The Sex Lives of College Girls.

Wynn Everett plays Tricia Yeager
Tricia, the head of the boosters, basically acts like she owns the team. She's 100 percent Southern belle and ambitious as hell.
Everett, who is from Georgia, played the chilling, whip smart Marvel villain Whitney Frost in the second season of Agent Carter. She's visited the DC side of superhero television as well as "The Fog" on Doom Patrol. You might also recognize her from The Newsroom, Teenage Bounty Hunters, and Sweet Magnolias.

Toby Huss plays Mike Holiday
Russ' dad, whose career in Hollywood as a professional makeup artist comes in handy when his son needs a professional disguise.
For '90s kids, you might remember Huss as Artie from The Adventures of Pete and Pete, or recognize his voice from Beevis and Butthead or King of the Hill. He also played a good dad in Dickinson on Apple TV+ and is known for shows like Halt and Catch Fire and Carnivale.

Colton Ryan plays Gerry Dougan
Gerry is the team's other quarterback. While Chad is goofy and dorky by choice, Gerry is just kind of like that.
Ryan is best known for The Girl From Plainville, Poker Face and the movie adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen. Fun fact: he actually reprised a role that he understudied/"covered" on Broadway. Ryan's other musical theatre credits include the Duncan Sheik musical Alice By Heart alongside Molly Gordon off-Broadway, and both The Girl From The North Country and New York, New York on Broadway. For the latter, he received a Tony nomination!

Xavier Mills plays Nishan Leonard
Nishan is another player on the team who, unsurprisingly, is suspicious of Chad Powers and his whole deal.
Mills has been steadily working in television for the last five or so years. He was in the Netflix show Forever. He played a fleeting love interest for Claudia in an episode of AMC's Interview With The Vampire, and a character named Brutus on Legacies. Finally, he appeared in the Hulu film The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat.

Quentin Plair plays Coach Byrd
As far as the coaching staff goes, Byrd is a little more enthusiastic than his colleagues.
Plair played Dallas on Roswell, New Mexico and Otis on Welcome to Chippendales. You might also know him from Tiny Beautiful Things.

Clayne Crawford plays Scott Dobbs
Rounding out the powers that be, Dobbs is the QB coach.
You know Crawford from Rectify and the TV series adaptation of Lethal Weapon. He was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for the former, and plays the role originated by Mel Gibson in the latter. Back in the '00s, Crawford was on the original Roswell for a two episode stint.
