Cardi B recently gave birth to her fourth child—and first with her new beau, Stefon Diggs— and she’s facing some public drama with her ex, Offset, after welcoming the new addition.
After the Grammy winner posted a lengthy social media caption sharing the news with fans, Offset posted an Instagram Story claiming that her fourth child is also his. “My kid lol,” he wrote.
Not long after, Cardi penned (and later deleted) a series of posts in her defense.
“Y’all be thinking it’s so funny and it’s not.. it’s been over a year and I’m still being harassed and threatened to the point that I feel like my life in danger.. it’s all fun and games until it’s too late,” she wrote in her since-deleted tweet.
In a separate post, she added, “Mf’ers do anything for attention and it could get real nasty with just one upload… LEAVE ME TF ALONE.”
She didn’t stop there. The “Bodega Baddie” artist, who shares three children with her ex, then voiced concerns over her safety on Twitter Spaces with fans.
“I’m really tired of getting harassed, and when I get harassed privately and I ignore, that’s when I start getting harassed publicly,” she told listeners on November 16. “I have every single receipt. If you wanna keep sending fucking blogs to harass me—like, I can’t take it anymore.”
After alleging that the “Stirfry” rapper had been “harassing” her privately, she likened the situation to a true crime documentary. “Sometimes I sleep and I wonder, ‘This is not normal,’” she shared. “You see crime documentaries …You see shit on social media about women getting killed every other day.”
At the time of her birth announcement, Cardi seemed eager to look forward to the future. “My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it!” she wrote, in part.
She continued, “I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
Offset has yet to react to her response.
