Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's relationship was NOT safe from rumors of a pre-holiday split, with the internet speculating that the two potentially broke up sometime before Thanksgiving. The rumors, however, were put on ice by a) Gwen wearing her engagement and wedding ring in public recently and b) the couple sharing a v cute “we're totally still together y'all” Thanksgiving selfie of them kissing—and now, a inside source is giving even more reasons why a break up couldn't be farther from the truth.
A source tells People that the reason why it might *seem* like there's trouble in paradise between Blake and Gwen is because of how difficult is to be a booked and busy pop star-country sensation duo. Literally.
“There is no truth to the split rumors. They’ve just been juggling demanding schedules,” the source notes. “When they are together, it’s just so obvious how solid they are.”
Like any regular couple, there are ebbs and flows—sometimes Gwen and Blake are more booed up, and other times, they're working hard and are more career-oriented.
“Sometimes they spend a lot of family time together and really treasure that, and then there are periods when the focus is more on work,” the source adds. “They're both at a place in their careers where they still genuinely enjoy what they do and they don't want to give that up. Is it easy all the time? Of course not. They have a lot on their plates and a lot to balance, but that's just how it is when you're a family and both parents have careers.”
This isn't too far off from what other sources have said about the couple in recent days. An insider told the Daily Mail last week that the couple's relationship is “pretty good” and “certainly not as dire as the rumors.”
Work seems to be a light struggle, as the couple is trying to “be a lot more intentional about spending time together and keeping in contact.” And it might not always be smooth sailing for Blake and Gwen—they've “had a few bumps in the road,” according to the Daily Mail source—but “it's mostly because of their busy schedules.”
Thankfully, the one consistent thing in Blake and Gwen's relationship is their “off-the-charts' physical chemistry,” which is “as good now as it was when they first started dating 10 years ago” and has been “keeping the spark going all these years.”
