Although I have a collection of 150+ expensive perfumes, my most-complimented scent of all time is Billie Eilish's original fragrance, Eilish. It's a vanilla perfume that's so rich, fluffy, and warm. Hell, people have stopped me on the street to ask what I'm wearing and then promptly ordered it from Amazon on the spot. So a few months ago, when I got the opportunity to test Billie's brand-new fragrance, Your Turn, ahead of its launch, I beyond was giddy. Your Turn is now officially available to shop, so keep scrolling for all the details on the scent and chic-as-hell bottle design...straight from Billie herself.
Your Turn is quite different from the original Eilish, if that's the scent you're familiar with. Think playful softness mixed with edge. At first sniff, there's bright bergamot peel, cardamom, and ginger, then blooms into a juicy blend of peach skin, coconut water, and night-blooming jasmine (which, FYI, is a much more sultry, rich, musky type of jasmine). At its core, though, are smooth sandalwood, musk, and an upcycled warm amber note. Together, you get a spicy citrus that's bold and fresh at the same time. Ya know, not unlike Billie.
Even the bottle is totally different for the brand (which usually features a bust resembling Billie herself), highlighting a whole new era for Billie Eilish Fragrances. According to Eilish, the fragrance celebrates individuality and the endless possibilities that come when people bet on themselves—hence the dice shape.
"I really love fragrances with beautiful bottles that can stand independently," Billie told Cosmopolitan. "So this has always been my philosophy when designing the bottles for my own fragrances—they are all works of art."
This perfectly with the brand's dedication to sustainability, as the bottles are meant to be reused as decor even after they're used up. But they also took some time to make sure the formula met their sustainability standards too. Extremely cool: This fragrance features an upcycled note called Sylvamber, a synthetic molecule with a woody, warm, powdery amber-like scent. Your Turn is also vegan, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and made with all clean ingredients; meanwhile, the outer packaging is printed in Envirofoil (a v-easily recycled form of metallic) and made with 100 percent renewable wind energy.
