Forget Sephora Kids—It's all About the Sephora Dogs This Holiday Season

The new beauty obsession isn’t Gen Z, or even Gen Alpha. It’s your dog.

As Cosmo's beauty director, my inbox is overflowing with pitches highlighting new beauty products and trends. For the majority of 2025, the big theme among brands was the "Sephora Kids" and beauty products for teens—even toddlers. But in the last few weeks, I've seen a shift—the focus is not just on Gen Z and Gen Alpha, it's on our dogs. Sure, fancy pet shampoos have always existed, but this new wave of prestige beauty products for pets takes it to another level. Think: restorative red light therapy devices, luxury fragrance, and clean beauty dry shampoo—all designed and formulated with your furry friends in mind.

These prestige beauty products for dogs are an indulgence (and probably unnecessary...the jury is out). They're also more expensive than half the products in my own beauty routine. But this is what makes them the perfect holiday gift IMO. I don't know a single dog mom or dad who wouldn't love one of these extravagant finds for their fur baby.

Lil Luv Dog, the brainchild of LA It-girls Cara Santana-Leto and Steph Shep, is bringing clean beauty standards to your dog's grooming routine. Their non-aerosol dry shampoos are designed to extend time between bath days by absorbing oil and neutralizing odor.

This isn't your average dog bed, folks. From wellness brand HigherDose (the makers of some of our favorite red light therapy devices), this plush bed combines infrared heat therapy with pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) to calm anxiety, support deeper rest, and improve recovery.

Perfume is trending, so it makes sense that the market would expand to include scents for dogs, too. Assistant beauty editor Jasmine Hyman says this ylang ylang, sandalwood, and musk blend makes her dog Winston smell like he just got back from a high-end groomer.

Think of this as the hair perfume version of Dedcool's best-selling Taunt perfume...but for your pet. It's a lightweight mist that adds a subtle scent of vanilla, amber, and bergamot to your dog's coat for a creamy and cozy effect.

The award-winning shampoo from Jennifer Aniston's hair brand LolaVie comes in a gentle version for puppies and dogs. Thanks to conditioning ingredients like coconuts and ceramides it makes your dog's fur silky soft—and the oatmeal in the formula helps soothe itchy skin too.

I consider Aesop body washes and hand soaps to be top-tier gifts for humans, so there's no doubt that their pet wash would be a home run gift for anyone with a four-legged friend too.

This coming-soon brand from a former beauty editor is all about elevating pet essentials which chic packaging, thoughtful formulas, and vet-approved ingredients. The Après Oil reminds me of something I'd put on my own skin after the shower.
