Chances are, you’ve heard by now that Tate McRae and The Kid LAROI are no longer an item. And while the two seemingly avoided each other at the 2025 VMAs, LAROI did raise eyebrows when he was papped heading to a VMAs after-party hosted by Sabrina Carpenter at the Crane Club with none other than KATSEYE’s Manon Bannerman. Now the question begs: Are LAROI and Manon dating?

Considering the two are not 1) touching, 2) talking, or 3) seeming even the least bit intimate with each other, it feels safe to conclude that these two are just friends. I mean, they aren’t even *close* to each other in this fan-captured video:

But I suppose time will tell!

To recap: LAROI—whose real name is Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard—confirmed on social media back in August that he and the “Sports Car” singer are still on good terms following their breakup. The pair started as friends, but were romantically linked from January 2024 to July 2025.

Both were in attendance at the 2025 VMAs, but unlike last year’s show (where they packed on the PDA), the two kept their distance from each other—even though Tate was spotted heading to the same post-show party.

And while little is known about Manon’s dating history, she’s previously sparked romance rumors with Heeseung from ENHYPEN, though nothing was ever confirmed.

That said! While chatting with React in November 2024, Manon’s fellow KATSEYE member Megan cited LAROI as a “dream collab,” and Lara agreed that “Kid LAROI would be sick.” So perhaps this Manon and LAROI sighting is merely a collab in the works!

Anyway! Until I hear any updates, I’ll just be watching KATSEYE perform “Gabriela” at the VMAs on repeat:
