You aren’t dreaming—we did, in fact, have one of those back in July. But maybe you accidentally ran your AirPods through the washing machine last month and are dreading buying another pair at full price. Or you’re like me and you plan all of your holiday shopping around sale events. You, my friend, are going to be glad that Amazon’s Big Deal Days 2025 are happening right now.

And heads up: Apple dropped the prices on four devices: the AirPods 3, the AirPods 4 (at their lowest price ever!), the AirPods Pro 2, and the viral AirPods Max headphones. But before we do anything, let’s break down the different AirPods models and what I'd actually consider to be a good sale for each.
First up: The third-gen AirPods, which are the second most recent model of the regular AirPods line. They were released in 2021, they have up to 30 hours of battery life and up to five hours of listening time, and they’re even sweat- and water-resistant. Think of these as your classic AirPods—and they’re currently 20% off, making them $135 (down from $169) which is a great deal. Notably they don’t have ANC (aka active noise cancelling), so you might have to crank up the volume if you're somewhere loud, like a plane or train.
Then there’s the four-gen AirPods, aka the AirPods 4. They were released just last year and are a major upgrade from the third-gen AirPods thanks to the active noise cancellation. They also feature transparency mode and conversation awareness features, which means your music will automatically get quieter when the AirPods detect that you're talking or being spoken to!
The Airpods 4 with ANC are 34% off right now at $119, but you can also buy them without ANC for $89, which is extremely cheap—the lowest price we've ever seen. They're pretty basic in terms of features (even more basic than the third-gen AirPods) but they do the trick on a budget!

There's also the AirPods Pro 2, and they were the most recent pro model—until Apple announced the AirPods Pro 3 just weeks ago. Still, they pretty much have every feature you’d expect or want from AirPods, from seamless noise-cancelling features to transparency mode and the ability to lower your music when it picks up on you speaking. They also have up to 30 hours of battery life and up to six hours of listening time (an hour more than the third-gen AirPods)!
I personally own the AirPods Pro 2 and while the Pro 3’s will have slightly better noise cancelling and battery life, if I were shopping around right now, I’d choose this discounted pair over waiting until Apple decides to start marking down the brand new model, which could take awhile. They’re 32% off, bringing the price down from $249 to just $169.99.

They're even more discounted than they were last Prime Day, with the $549 headphones discounted by $120, bringing them to $429. TL,DR; They’re pricey but they're less pricey now, and as an AirPods Max user myself I can say that they’re worth it!
