Chances are you’ve heard his song “Ordinary”...but did you know that the breakout hit is actually written for Alex Warren’s wife, Kouvr Annon? The MTV PUSH artist (who, btw, just took home the award for Best New Artist at the 2025 MTV VMAs) opened up about the inspiration behind “Ordinary” in a June 2025 Instagram post, calling Kouvr his “best friend” and adding, “This song is now number 1 everywhere and I can’t help but smile to know it’s about you.” Cuteeeee!
So...who is Kouvr? The internet personality got her start just like Alex did as a member of the viral Hype House—though she and Alex actually met way back in 2018 through Snapchat (yes, really). Since then, the two have gone from living out of a car to walking red carpets together, and I <3 that for them.

Kouvr is from Hawaii
The TikTok star was born in Oahu, where she lived until she graduated high school in 2018 and relocated to Los Angeles. (Below, pls enjoy Alex and Kourv visiting Hawaii in 2022 to pick up the high school diploma she apparently never collected.)
Oh and side note: Her full name is Kouvr Ho’oipo A Mē Kamakalāni O’anela Kahokūlani Vincent Annon. Try saying that three times fast.
She met Alex through Snapchat
Her romance with the musician began back in 2018, after Alex watched her YouTube videos and decided she was cute. Apparently, Alex then messaged Kouvr’s friend via Snapchat and (as he later told People) “since then [they] haven’t gone a day without talking.”
It seems the connection was instantaneous, too. “We just clicked right away,” the musician told BBC during a March 2025 interview. “I felt I could tell her everything, just after our first conversation.”
She and Alex briefly lived out of his car
Within four months of meeting (per Alex’s BBC interview), Kouvr left her native Hawaii to live with Alex in L.A., where they spent a brief time living out of a car.
He later acknowledged this tough time in a 2021 Instagram post celebrating Kouvr, writing, “When i was going through the worst time of my life, you were there sleeping in a car with me and we had no where to go. I love you so much and there was no one else I would’ve wanted to go through that with.”
She rose to fame as a member of the Hype House
After spending years as an independent content creator, Kouvr skyrocketed to fame as a member of TikTok’s Hype House (aka the content creation group co-founded by Alex that included everyone from Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae).
The two later left the house together in 2022 when Alex started to pivot to a music career.
She and Alex have been married for over a year
A year and a half after getting engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2022, Alex and Kouvr made things official with a dreamy garden wedding in California.
A full circle moment: Their wedding was officiated by John Bigelow, who was the one who took in the couple when they had “nowhere to sleep and gave us a car to sleep in,” as Alex told People.
