- Alix Earle’s podcast, Hot Mess, was previously released under Alex Cooper’s Unwell network until it was reportedly dropped in March.
- It’s unclear whether Hot Mess was dropped or Alix decided to exit the network, but it came amid a rumored rift between the influencers.
- Alex Cooper seemingly made a dig at Alix Earle with two separate references to her in a social media video.
It seems like Alix Earle and Alex Cooper may still be at odds. Hot off her Unwell live shows in Las Vegas on October 11 and 12, Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper posted a recap video set to “Circus” by Britney Spears, featuring Trisha Paytas, Tana Mongeau, Owen Thiele, and more surprise guests from the weekend.
Naturally, fans thought she might be throwing shade at Alix Earle, since the song choice happens to match Alix’s first performance on Dancing With the Stars. Sure, it could be a mere coincidence amid their rumored rift…but the first six words from Alex’s caption (“How much time do you have?”) certain caught fans’ attention.
Allow us to catch you up to speed: Back in February, Variety reported that Hot Mess was dropped by the Unwell Network amid feud rumors between the social media personalities.
Insiders also weighed in on Alix vs. Alex with Us Weekly, saying, “They’ve had a lot of drama between them [since] they decided to collaborate on Unwell. They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”
The following month, Alix took to TikTok to tell fans she had to “put a pause on podcasting right now for the foreseeable future,” noting that she couldn’t “get into the details of it all right now.”
That same day, Alex seemingly responded with her own TikTok, sharing that Unwell had “nothing to do” with Hot Mess’ sudden hiatus.
“Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell,” the CHD host wrote. “[I don’t know] why she can’t/what’s going on.” She added that “Unwell gave [Alix] everything back” and that Alix owns her intellectual property.
Then came May and Alix’s interview with the Wall Street Journal, where she talked about the production politics that led to the show’s hiatus. Despite Alex’s claims that Alix owned her IP, Alix said “it has taken some time to get everything back,” adding, “That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess.”
Cut to August, when Alix said she wanted to “start some shit.” She continued, “Lowkey, is this my time that I’ve been waiting for? I have so much information.”
When a fan asked about her feud with Alex Cooper in a comment, she replied, “How much time do you have?”
And that brings us back to Alex’s recent Instagram caption, where the first six words might be a jab at Alix Earle: “How much time do you have? Cause we could go all night.”
In the meantime, Alix is gearing up for her next dance on DWTS, which is dedicated to her little sister Isabel for Dedication Night. She has yet to respond to the Unwell founder’s post.
