The second season of the hit HBO show came after a two-year-long wait. It saw Rue relapse and then go on a detox and Cassie go head-to-head with her sister onstage. Maddie finally got her talons into Cassie. Showrunner Sam Levinson revealed at the premiere the team was "trying to figure out how to find a way to pay respect to those who we lost," referring to the passing of actor Angus Cloud (who played Fezco) and Eric Dane (who played Cal).
