Admittedly, the premise of Temptation Island is kind of wild: Four struggling couples enter paradise together, where they’re forced into separate villas, faced with two dozen tempters/temptresses, and made to watch tapes of their partners engaging with said sexy singles, and…it’s a lot!! Honestly, it’s a miracle that any couples walk away from Temptation Island in one piece, but it has been done. In honor of Temptation Island season 2 (which is technically the show’s tenth overall, but second on Netflix), now seems like a good time to revisit our season 1 couples and see where they stand just about a year later.
Filmed back in May 2024 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, season 1 followed Shanté and Brion, Tyler and Tayler, Grant and Ashley, and Lino and Alexa as they either avoided or gave into temptation in paradise. By the end of the season, two couples went their separate ways, while another two opted to leave together. And believe it or not, one of those couples is still going strong today! Here is where the four couples stand in our good year 2026.
Brion Whitley and Shanté Glover
Current relationship status: Broken up
Despite Brion’s infamous threesome, the couple decided to leave the show as a couple. Ahead of the premiere, Shanté explained the decision to leave with Brion to Tudum, saying of the threesome, “As sad as it is and as annoying as it is, I don’t know that we would’ve had those conversations if that didn’t happen. We could have just been down this bad spiral of not really knowing how each other feels.”
However, things didn’t last. On April 7, less than a month after the season premiered on Netflix, Shanté took to her Instagram Stories to announce that she and Brion went their separate ways. “After much thought and reflection, Brion and I have decided to part ways for now,” she wrote. “There’s no bad blood—just two people recognizing that we need time and space to process this journey.”
She continued, “I wish Brion nothing but the best, and I hope we’re both able to grow from this experience.”
It’s unclear whether either Shanté or Brion is seeing anyone at the moment.
Tyler Breshears and Tayler Byrd
Current relationship status: Broken up
At the end of the season, Tayler and Tyler went their separate ways, and it doesn’t look like they ended up rekindling things. And sadly, it doesn’t look like things worked out for Tyler and the woman with whom he chose to leave the island, Kay Carlson. During the unofficial reunion on The Viall Files podcast, Tyler claimed he didn’t want to continue his relationship with Kay after learning she was an OnlyFans model…while Kay later claimed that he was fully aware of that fact.
But everyone has since moved on. As of March 28, 2026, Tyler is married to a woman named Lauren Bennett, while Tayler just hard-launched a relationship with a mystery woman on TikTok:

Grant Larson and Ashley Moore
Current relationship status: Broken up
Though they left the island separately (Grant alone, and Ashley with Danny Spongberg), the two actually ended up reconciling about six months after filming wrapped. As Ashley later revealed to Tudum, “We got back together for a little bit. That was a shit show.” What went wrong: Ashley later learned that—at the same time he was pursuing her—Grant was seeing Natalie Cruz (who he connected with on the show).
Neither Grant nor Ashley seems to be dating anyone at the moment, but it’s rumored that their old flames, Danny and Natalie, could both appear on Perfect Match season 4 so…that’s interesting!
Alexa Santamaria and Lino Troisi
Current relationship status: Engaged
After getting engaged at the end of the season, Alexa and Lino are still going strong! The two are currently planning an October 2026 wedding in Sorrento, Italy, and seem totally smitten—and tbh, I love this success story for them!
Here’s hoping we get another Alexa and Lino out of Netflix’s second installment!!
