• Over the years, Noah has kept his relationship status extremely private.
  • Noah seemingly revealed he’s off the market with a sweet social media post.
  • He also shared a separate post, claiming it may have been an April Fool’s joke.

Noah Schnapp seems to be thriving since the series finale of Stranger Things aired in late 2025. The actor has maintained a pretty low profile but still managed to attend Paris Fashion Week and meet one of his faves, Ariana Grande, at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Now, he’s seemingly given fans a major update on his relationship status, which he’s kept extremely private over the years. Well, that, or he might have pulled off the best April Fool’s prank we’ve seen in a minute.

On Wednesday, April 1, Noah shared a sweet pic of himself hugging a mystery man as they looked out at a sunset on his Instagram Stories. None of their faces were visible, but he captioned the post, “One month of us.”

However, nearly 24 hours later, on April 2, Noah shared another Instagram Story post, where he claimed it might have been a joke. “April fools,” he wrote, alongside a kissy-face emoji.

Noah came out as gay with a since-deleted TikTok video in January 2023. At the time, he said that he was “more similar” to his Stranger Things character, Will Byers, than he thought.

Just last month, he accepted the GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding Drama Series on behalf of Netflix’s beloved sci-fi series.

“To anyone out there who has ever felt they didn’t belong or weren’t loved; there’s nothing wrong with you and you’re not behind,” he said during his speech. “You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. You’re exactly the person that you were meant to become—be proud of every piece of yourself cause there’s no one else in the world that can be you.”

It’s unclear whether Noah’s soft launch was actually a joke, but I will admit it was well-played either way.
