- Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their awards show debut as a couple at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, March 26.
- Taylor made history as the most awarded artist in one night, thanks to her album The Life of a Showgirl.
- During one of her acceptance speeches, Taylor gushed about Travis and thanked him “for the vibes.”
The iHeartRadio Music Awards marked another historic sweep for Taylor Swift, who became the most awarded artist in one night when she took home seven trophies for The Life of a Showgirl. She also extended her record of being the most awarded artist in the history of the awards show, which has been airing for 13 years.
The night also marked Taylor and Travis Kelce’s awards show debut, and naturally, they shared so many sweet moments throughout their date night. When “The Fate of Ophelia” singer accepted the trophy for Pop Album of the Year, she gushed about her fiancé and gave him a shoutout from the stage.
“This album probably also feels very happy and confident and free, because that’s the way that I get to feel every single day of my life, because of my fiancé, who’s here,” she said. She then referenced the lyrics of the TLOAS lead single, adding, “Thanks for all the vibes.”
Of course, Travis melted at the moment and had the sweetest reaction. Just look at the glimmer in his eyes!
While she wasn’t packing on PDA with Travis or hanging out with Raye, Sombr, or Ella Langley, Taylor casually continued to make history. She took home six other awards throughout the night, including Pop Song of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia,” Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, Favorite Tour Style, and Artist of the Year, which she accepted from Olympian Alysa Liu.
“I love writing songs more than anything in the world, and I didn’t think I was an artist when I first started doing it,” Taylor said during her speech, where she accepted six awards at once. “It was a hobby, and then it was my favorite hobby, and then it was what I would, like, rush home from school to do…I just want to say, when I was 12 years old, I had the luxury of spending thousands of hours working at my craft, practicing making mistakes through trial and error. That was all completely unobserved, right?”
She added, “I’m looking out into this crowd, and I’m seeing so many ambitious, cool, smart, awesome people who have dreams. We live in this world where there’s so much immediate feedback constantly.”
She then concluded her speech, saying, “Thank you for allowing me to turn my hobby into a love, into a passion, into a dream, into a career. Thank you for allowing me to have it this long. I wish you the best with everything you do.”
Congrats to Mother Swift!!
