• A DeuxMoi tipster claims Maura Higgins will potentially be tapped to do a live season of The Bachelorette.
  • Maura left a comment on DeuxMoi’s post, and didn’t shut the claim down!
  • ABC recently cancelled Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette, and “tens of millions” of dollars are on the line.

There’s been a lottttt of speculation about what might happen with The Bachelorette now that Taylor Frankie Paul’s season has been canceled, and a DeuxMoi tipster is out here claiming that Maura Higgins could be tapped to do a live season of the show. Which…is honestly the greatest idea ever?

Per the source, “ABC exec friend said that they are looking into getting Maura Higgins to be the new Bachelorette and do a live shooting of it. They shut down Layla and Miranda as a dual season and are trying to steer away from SLOMW girlies.”

Maura hasn’t confirmed or denied this, but she DID jump into the comments of this post with a side-eye emoji.

Would be amazing, but keep in mind that a source just told The Sun that The Bachelorette franchise might be dead in the water. As their insider put it, “To be frank, as of right now, there’s a huge likelihood the franchise is dead. That’s the whispers amongst the execs at the tip top that they don’t want it to come back. Ever. The new management doesn’t want this stain on their legacy and would rather just scrap this altogether. They don’t see a path forward to making the show work again and the interest and ratings were already at an all-time low.”

HOWEVER, “tens of millions” are reportedly on the line so—just speculating here—it kinda makes sense that ABC would want to redo the season, if possible!
