Miley Cyrus Fully Gushed About Dating Dylan Sprouse While Filming ‘Hannah Montana’

The 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana is officially here—and Miley Cyrus is celebrating big. The pop culture icon pulled out all the stops for her Hannahversary special on Disney+, including cameos from her mom, Tish Cyrus, and dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Of course, Miley acknowledged her fellow Disney Channel diva, Selena Gomez, with a cameo, and she even dished about having a crush on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’s Cole and Dylan Sprouse. (Honestly, who didn’t?)

“Dylan was my boyfriend. I think he was the cutest,” Miley gushed to host Alex Cooper, confirming the longtime rumor that they dated in the 2000s.

She playfully added, “Dylan was my crush. Their dad would take us to sushi. I was into the whole culture, and it was a two-for-one. Like, bring the brother. Hello!”

The pair initially crossed paths while filming their respective Disney Channel shows and even went on to star in two iconic crossover events for the network: That’s So Suite Life of Hannah Montana and Wizards on Deck With Hannah Montana.

In 2008, Dylan admitted he had dated Miley during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, saying, “I was about 11 or 12 probably…We met at her set, I believe, and we dated.”

He also jokingly referred to Miley’s relationship with a certain Jonas Brother from 2006 to 2007, adding, “And then Nick Jonas walked by, and it was over.”

Two decades later, Miley and Dylan have moved on with their respective partners. Dylan is married to Victoria’s Secret Angel, Barbara Palvin, and Miley is engaged to her longtime love, Maxx Morando, who supported her at the world premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special in Los Angeles on Monday, March 23.
