Yet more drama is happening within The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast. Just days after filing for divorce, Jessi Draper’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, has filed a temporary restraining order against her.
TMZ broke the news, reporting that Jordan filed the request on Friday and she filed an opposition the same day. Per the outlet, “no further details about the nature of the claims in the documents are available.”
News broke that Jordan had filed for divorce on March 19 after five years of marriage. The reality star gave a statement to TMZ, saying, “This has not been an easy decision and it comes with a heavy heart. I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons. While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this as a family.”
The former couple’s relationship was a big topic of discussion last season on TSLOMW, and Jessi even expressed concerns that their prenup wasn’t valid due to not being officially witnessed.
As a reminder, Jessi was pondering a split from Jordan last season and had a lot of concerns about their prenup potentially being void due to not having a witness signature. She told Cosmopolitan (before Jordan’s filing) that she “let go of the prenup conversation, because I want to make the decision for me and my happiness, rather than for money. I still will look into that in the future if I need to. But I felt like I was basing the decision [about whether or not to get divorced] off of that. And I didn’t want to do that.”
