- Multiple outlets are reporting on how The Bachelorette cast feel about the domestic assault investigation involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen.
- Taylor’s cast are reportedly “shocked” and “rallying around each other.”
- The Bachelorette is still scheduled to go ahead as planned on March 22.
The Bachelorette is reportedly still on track to premiere this Sunday—despite Taylor Frankie Paul reportedly being involved in a “domestic assault investigation” with her ex, Dakota Mortensen (with allegations made in “both directions”).
Taylor showed up to a press preview for the show last night, and gave her first statement, telling People her “heart hurts” and the “timing is hard.” Meanwhile, there are multiple reports that her Bachelorette contestants are shocked and let down.
“The men on The Bachelorette have all been rallying around each other in solidarity and feel extremely upset and let down by Taylor and the situation,” a source tells Us Weekly, while TMZ reports that they were all “shocked” and “blindsided” by the allegations.
That said, TMZ also reports that the cast’s experience with Taylor was “completely different,” and they described her as “kind, genuine, and well-intentioned” and note that she came on The Bachelorette with a “pure heart, trying to do the right thing for herself.”
Meanwhile, Taylor told Us Weekly at the press event that “There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate. It’s been hard. And it sucks to be in this position. And the mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well. So the headlines that are out right now are very hard to see because that’s not the truth of it. I have always treated my children with respect and I’ve never touched them. So it’s been really hard.”
