Following her breakup with Stranger Things star Joe Keery/Djo, Maika sparked dating rumors with luxury real estate broker Dalton Gomez…and if that names sound familiar to you, it’s probably because he’s the ex-husband of Ariana Grande. Yes, really.

Maika and Dalton have seemingly been dating since at least October 2023 (and are still going strong today!), so now seems like a good time to revisit their incredibly low-key relationship timeline—including their breakups with their respective exes. Shall we?

October 2022

Maika and Joe break up after five years of dating—though the timing isn’t confirmed until a year and a half later during a June 2024 interview with Variety, when Joe finally opens up about the split. According to Joe, the breakup happened right before he headed to Calgary to film Fargo season five.

TMZ breaks the news that Ariana and Dalton have separated after two years of marriage.

A source later confirms to People that the couple separated earlier in the year and “have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship.”

Ari files for divorce from Dalton, with the date of separation listed as February 20, 2023.
