Fans start speculating that Nick and Natalie are together based on matching pools on their respective Instagrams:
Nick later says on his podcast that Natalie made the first move on social media, explaining, “She slid into my DMs. It was very romantic. We kind of kept hanging out, and she finally got a point where she was like, ‘I want to date,’ and I was kind of like, ‘I don’t know.’ …She just was like, ‘Okay, this is what I want. It’s fine, no big deal, but I’m gonna go do my thing,’ and she did, and I was like, ‘What?!’…She went and showed me exactly what I’d be missing.”
Natalie also ends up telling Bustle re: their early days of dating, “From the first weekend we spent together, I knew it would be him.”

Rumors pop up on Reddit claiming Natalie cheated on Nick, which are completely unsubstantiated. But then they really go off thanks to Harry Jowsey writing this on Instagram:
Meanwhile, Nick speaks about the “insane” rumors on the Lady Gang podcast, saying, “I’m really good at protecting my mental health and the mental health of my family. And I mean it when I say it, like, I’ve always liked to work. I’ve enjoyed work. Like, the more I build the show, the less famous I want to be. I mean that.”
He adds, “You can never have thick enough skin to handle whatever rumors are about you. I am aware of a ton of rumors about me and I know that I’m unaware of 90 percent more because I don’t fucking read it.”

Natalie explains why she never responded to those aforementioned Reddit cheating rumors, telling Bustle, “Having River, you realize what’s important in life, [and it’s] protecting our family. That’s why we don’t give oxygen to any rumors about us. Then it’s going to be a headline. She’s like, ‘Wait. What happened?’ And it’s like, none of it matters. We know what the truth is. We know what happens in our lives.”
Around the same time, she opens up about her first miscarriage on The Viall Files, saying, “It has been the biggest heartbreak, I think, of my life. I’ve never experienced something where I feel so empty inside.”

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Natalie announces that she has suffered her second miscarriage in two months.
“While mourning the loss of our second baby at the beginning of this year, I quickly and very unexpectedly found out I was pregnant again,” she writes in an Instagram Story at the time. “It took some time for me to accept what had happened only to be handed another chance so easily and so fast.”
She continued, “We were finally in a place of complete and utter gratitude. [Then], this past week, I miscarried again. I underwent a D&C this time, which was harder than I imagined.”
August 2025
On The Viall Files, Nick shares that Natalie has suffered yet another miscarriage.
“As you can see, Natalie is not with us. There’s no easy way to talk about this. …Sadly, Natalie experienced another miscarriage,” he tells listeners. “It’s her third this year, our third this year. There’s no really good way to say it—it fucking sucks. She’s obviously at home resting, healing, both physically and emotionally.”

After tons of heartbreak, Natalie and Nick finally have good news to share: They’re expecting twin girls.
“Our rainbow babies are finally ready to join us and this time it’s TWINS 🌈🌈,” Nick writes via Instagram.
