• Taz Skylar plays Sanji on Netflix’s hit show One Piece, and people are thirsty for details on his romantic life
  • Fans are convinced Taz is dating his One Piece costar Emily Rudd, but pretty sure they’re just friends!
  • Taz just opened up about his “one and only” girlfriend.

One Piece is back and I’m ready for it to once again become my entire personality, so sorry in advance to all of my friends and family who just want to be left in peace and not be sent random fan theories they never asked for: it’s not going to happen.

Season 2 of Netflix’s hit adventure series stars our favorite Straw Hats: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji (not to mention a slew of new friendly—and not-so-friendly—faces), but we’re here to talk about Sanji. More specifically, Taz Skylar. Even more specifically, Taz Skylar’s relationship status, since inquiring minds want to know. The bottom line?

He’s very private.

Taz hasn’t talked much about his personal life, and doesn’t seem to be dating anyone—at least not publicly / officially. He also recently declared “I definitely fall in love easily. Or like, often” while chuckling to himself.

Taz has also talked about how his personal life has changed since One Piece fame, telling Numéro Netherlands, “Personally, it’s been a rollercoaster. It’s so cool to have people like something I did. It’s awesome to see people smile when they see me. Everyone wants to give you their best self and it’s humbling. But on the other hand, it’s like a buffet of attention and it’s easy to overeat. Boundaries are a concept I always loathed because it sounds so clinical to have boundaries, but I’ve realized that they’re necessary to keep myself healthy. Time is something I guard in a military-esque way. And my privacy is something I never knew I’d value so much til it eroded. I’m enjoying the ride, but stopping to check in with myself a lot more than I used to.”

He just revealed his “one and only” girlfriend that he’s “ever had” was from the Philippines.

A rare moment where he was candid about his personal life!

But fans are shipping him and Emily Rudd.

The edits are coming fast and furious.

However, they seem to be just close friends. Sorry! And based on Taz using the phrasing the “one and only” girlfriend he’s “ever had” in that interview above ^^^^ it seems safe to assume he’s single. That, or we’re reading too much into the past tense. Either way, One Piece is currently streaming on Netflix so run, don’t walk!
