- Ex-Prince Andrew is friendless after his arrest for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
- Andrew reportedly just stays home and watches television all day.
- He’s also hoping to get back into the business world someday.
In no surprise to anyone, ex-Prince Andrew’s life has taken a nosedive since his connections to Jeffrey Epstein were revealed. Retaliative actions like being kicked out of Royal Lodge and getting stripped on his royal titles have come at the hands of his family, but now, his friends are reacting to the drama by simply not hanging out with him anymore.
Royal biographer Andrew Lownie explained that Andrew is “stuck on Wood Farm up in Sandringham. I hear he's not even allowed to go out the front door to go [horseback] riding” due to his misconduct coming to light, he told Express's TalkTV.
So, how does Andrew spend his time now? According to Express, “Lownie claimed the former Duke of York is stuck indoors watching movies all day”—not that this is exactly new for Andrew. Lornie added, “Well, what he did before really, which is to basically mooch around all morning in his dressing gown [bathrobe] and watch films. He used to go out [horseback] riding. He can't play golf but he watches videos.”
Andrew is just operating business as usual now: “He's always been a bit of a couch potato and he is just doing exactly the same.”
As a refresher, Andrew was arrested on February 19 for his connections to Epstein, with Thames Valley Police “assessing allegations that Andrew forwarded confidential reports to Jeffrey Epstein while he was a trade envoy for the UK.” He’s since been released after being questioned by authorities, but Lorrie notes that his legal team will be monitoring the situation closely.
In the meantime, Andrew is trying to stay positive and is wanting to get back to business one day (TBD if he’ll ever be allowed). “I think he is still hopeful that he can do business activities but he just leads a very quiet life,” Lownie said. “Most of his friends have now abandoned him. It's a pretty isolated world.”
