The students of Split River High School cannot seem to catch a break in season 3 of School Spirits. Maddie loses Simon in the ghost world and there’s a major chance that Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price will shut down the school altogether. Exactly what will happen to all of those souls left behind? Not sure, but it definitely opens the door (IYKYK) for a possible season 4 of School Spirits.

When will School Spirits Season 4 premiere?
Sorry to break it to you babes, but Paramount+ has not renewed School Spirits for season 4 yet. But! Kristian Ventura did tease a possible return of the show in an interview with TechRadar.
“Of course there's room for more ghosts and chaos,” he told the outlet. “These writers are amazing. You can feel where the story is going. We've just about explored what we wanted to, and there's only so many untapped regions. I really don't feel this is a show that will waste the viewers experience.’
He added, “There is definitely a little bit more to tap into. And cliffhanger is great. I think the show’s gonna run, and I hope it does.” So...take that as a good sign until we get that official announcement from the streaming gods.
What will School Spirits season 4 be about?
Plot details are still up in the air for School Spirits season 4, but here’s a quickie refresher of what happened in season 3, per the show’s official logline: “Season 3 of School Spirits plunges Maddie Nears and her friends into a deeper, darker mystery as the veil between worlds grows dangerously thin, delivering twists that challenge everything they thought they knew. After clawing her way back to life, Maddie struggles with terrifying visions and the weight of protecting both the living and the dead while Simon—trapped in the afterlife—becomes obsessed with the secrets buried in Split River High’s scars. Why have so many people died at Split River High? What was Mr. Martin warning them about? As they search for answers, new dangers and dark secrets begin to surface.”
Season 3, episode 7, picks up after Simon gets stuck in the ghost world. Maddie and Xavier are forced to get Kyle to the hospital after Alfred Van Heidt exits Kyle’s body. But there’s one problem—Xavier has to find Kyle’s spirit before anyone else can inhabit his body. Thankfully, Kyle gets sent through a furnace near the hospital’s scar, and Xavier is successfully able to convince Kyle’s spirit to re-enter his body.
After clearing Maddie and Xavier's name, Kyle denies Deborah the funds to demolish the school and she’s not exactly happy about that. Claire finds out that Deborah was expecting a whopping $250,000 for tearing the school down, and goes to Principal Hartman (instead of the police) with Nicole and Xavier. And because this is still high school, a romantic confession surfaces—Wally declares his love for Maddie, but steps through his door. Maddie instead chooses to step through her own door and ends up in a forest, which seems to be an alternate world that may hold the key to saving Simon.
By the finale episode, Dave helps Maddie and Simon cross over to the real world. Alfred takes over Deborah's body and tries to set the school on fire, and later hops into Sandra's body (which Maddie is unaware of). There's also the possibility that the spirits might be able to travel further beyond the school as a result of the fire, so expect an Alfred revenge plot and the remaining spirits trying to find their way out of the ghost world in the next season.

No confirmed list of cast members have been announced for School Spirits season 4, but Peyton List, Kristian Ventura, Milo Manheim, Spencer MacPherson, Sarah Yarkin, Kiara Pichardo, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Josh Zuckerman, Ci Hang Ma, Miles Elliot, Jennifer Tilly, Ari Dalbert, Erika Swayze, Maria Dizzia, Patrick Gilmore, Ian Tracey and Jess Gabor may all return in their respective roles—stay tuned!
