Not even sure what the show is about anymore or where it goes from here? Here’s what we know about if Industry season 5 is happening and when we’ll get to see it.
The HBO original drama series currently starring Myha'la, Marisa Abela, Ken Leung, Kit Harington, Miriam Petche, Toheeb Jimoh and more is set in the world of investment banking. While that may sound dry, Industry and its characters are as sex, drugs, and rock and roll as a show like Euphoria, or, more appropriately since this takes place in the UK… Skins.
Did Industry get renewed for season 5?
Well yes! HBO renewed Industry for a fifth and final season in March of 2026.
“For some time now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party,” creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay said in an official statement.
What does that mean?! It’s ominous in the best possible way.
What will Industry season 5 be about?
That is the question, huh? The fourth season left a lot of things up in the air. Yasmin is on a darker path than we ever imagined. Harper is… hopefully on a better one, if not a good one. The industry of Industry got so much more evil this season, it’s wild.
Besides Myha'la and Abela as the show’s central duo, it’s difficult to even predict which cast members and characters will return in season 5. Is this the end of Harrngton’s Sir Henry? Probably not, but what about Kiernan Shipka as Hayley or Max Minghella as Whitney? What new seemingly-innocuous business will enter the Industry orbit with its deplorable employees? New characters have such an ability to shake things up on this show that casting announcements feel like threats.
And sorry for asking so many questions, but also can David Jonsson come back please? The final season has to mean that we check in on some characters who’ve gone on to greener pastures.
When will Industry season 5 premiere?
Industry has dropped new seasons on even years for the past six years. Season 1 premiered in winter 2020, season 2 was summer 2022, season 3 was summer 2024, and of course Ssason 4 took us by storm in 2026. It would not be a financial risk to bet that the final season of Industry will premiere, and then sadly end, in 2028. Whether we get it in summer, fall, or winter is harder to predict. Knowing HBO, it’ll probably depend on what Game of Thrones’ many spin-offs are up to that year. Ya know?
