But, with two gold medals and newfound fame under her belt, there’s also a ton of interest surrounding the 20-year-old’s personal life—including who she might be dating.
According to some social media sleuths on Reddit, Alysa was spotted at Trabocco with hyperpop musician glaive (aka Ash Blue Gutiérrez) once she touched down in Oakland from Milan. While the nature of their relationship hasn’t exactly been disclosed, Alysa opened up about her dating life and why she loves being single during her Cosmo Sports cover story in January.
“I have so much love in my life already, and I have so many amazing people, I just haven’t felt the need to look for more or look elsewhere. I really love myself. And my standards are quite high, too,” Alysa said at the time, adding that her schedule had gotten “pretty hectic” when she started skating again.
She added, “If I were to date someone, we’d each have to make tons of sacrifices. It’s just not worth it at this point to build something. I think when it comes, it will. I love being single, I really do. I do see myself being single for a long time. Especially right now, I choose friendships over relationships any day.”

He’s a musician
Before he racked up nearly 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Ash Blue Gutiérrez started releasing music on Soundcloud during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. As for his stage name, Glaive, he actually got it from the video game Dark Souls III.
He’s known for blending indie, alternative, and hyperpop with songs like “the prom,” “Asheville,” and “Nouveau Riche.” According to Perfectly Imperfect, Glaive also supported The Kid LAROI on tour in 2024.
He dropped his most recent album, Y’all, via Interscope and Geffen Records in September 2025.
He grew up in North Carolina
Though Ash was reportedly born in Florida, he gave Interview magazine a tour of his hometown in Asheville, North Carolina in 2022. He showed them his bedroom at the time, where his British mom said he’d “work himself into a tizzy.” He also showed landscapes from Jump Off Rock to Cypress Grove Lane.
“Jump Off Rock is 20 minutes from my house. It’s a little out of the way, but I go there maybe twice a month. It’s just very beautiful,” he said at the time. “It’s a bit of a trek, and you have to do a lot of turns because it’s up in the mountains. But if you live here, you know about Jump Off Rock. And I’ve never not lived where I live.”

She also shared a mirror selfie, which Glaive commented on. “There is something about this photo... something special....” he wrote, to which she responded with a reference to the video game, Skyrim: “Must’ve been the wind.”

On February 26, Alysa posted a photo with all the bags she brought back from the 2026 Winter Olympics…
…and, according to Sports Illustrated, Glaive posted a selfie to his Instagram Stories the following day, where Alysa’s brown bag was seemingly spotted in the corner.
Glaive further fueled dating rumors by wearing Alysa’s Olympics gear
In a February 1 Instagram post, Glaive wore a cap that was exclusively given to Olympians (ahem, perhaps Alysa) when they made Team USA.
She also dropped a comment on his post, writing, “A proper post for the upmost proper tour!” to which he called her “the most British girl in Oakland.”
Oh, and in a separate photo dump, he included a pic posing outside a shop named “Alysa.” Interesting!!
Neither Alysa nor Glaive has publicly commented on the nature of their connection, but we’ll keep an eye out for more details as they come.
