It's been a minute since The Summer I Turned Pretty was dominating our every waking thought, but the team has been busy prepping for the show's upcoming movie...which appears to be quite a ways out from release based on Gavin Casalegno having no idea what it's about. But one thing Gavin did tease? That he asked for a Jeremiah death scene.
"I did request a death scene," the actor told Us Weekly. "I don’t know if we’re gonna get it."
I mean, Team Conrad all the way, but no way can anything bad happen to Jeremiah! Like...NO!!!!!
Gavin also said he ultimately is down with anything that "makes the fans and Jenny happy" and has no further information due to his propensity to leak details. "I’m like Tom Holland. If I know anything, I’ll give it away," he joked. "They won’t tell me anything."
The Summer I Turned Pretty: The Movie was announced back in September of last year, and author Jenny Han said "There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans."
So, when's the movie dropping? Unclear, but Jenny confirmed it won't be this year, so keeping fingers crossed for a 2027 release.
