In just three months after the release of Heated Rivalry, Connor Storrie has already made his debut on Saturday Night Live, and naturally, reflected on the whirlwind amount of success he’s had since starring on the show.

In the actor’s opening monologue on the February 28 episode of SNL, he couldn’t stop gushing about the fan reception to the show, and gave a little insight on what his life was like before it started.

“Some of you may have seen literally of me on my show, Heated Rivalry. It's a show that has taught a lot of people about hockey and taught a lot of straight women that their sexuality is actually gay guy,” Connor told the audience. “This show has totally changed my life. Right before I was cast, I was a waiter, so I've only technically been a professional actor for six months now. But on the other hand, I've been preparing for this my entire life since I was a 12-year-old obsessed with acting.”

Elsewhere during the monologue, Connor brings in Jack and Quinn Hughes from the men’s Olympic hockey team—who won gold in the games—up on stage, where they asked him about hockey. “I got my teeth knocked out in the finals, does that happen in your show?” Jack asks. “Metaphorically,” Connor replies, sending the audience a cheeky look.

Hilary Knight and Megan Keller from the USA women’s Olympic hockey team (who also won gold in Milan) then came up on stage and confirmed that they did watch Heated Rivalry. After Connor tells the women how glad he is for them to be on the show, Hilary takes a subtle dig at President Donald Trump’s viral phone call to the men’s hockey team—during which he joked that he’d “have to” invite the women’s team to a dinner or risk impeachment—and says, “It was gonna be just us, but we thought we'd invite the guys too.”

Connor’s Heated Rivalry co-star, Hudson Williams, also made a cameo during the “Ice Skating,” in which a proposal goes wrong for many reason, but largely because the man proposing is so excited to see men (see: Connor and Hudson) having so much fun on the ice:

10/10 would watch again, best SNL episode ever, off to binge Heated Rivalry one last time.
