- Olivia Rodrigo and producer Dan Nigro seemingly tease her upcoming third album.
- The pair shared a social media post, which has fans convinced that the album is dropping soon.
- Here’s what we know about Olivia’s new album, which fans are calling OR3.
Olivia Rodrigo is slowly defrosting since she wrapped her GUTS World Tour and a slew of headlining slots during last summer’s festival circuit. It seems the time for her highly anticipated album is near, as she’s teasing OR3 with her longtime producer turned best friend, Dan Nigro.
“Finishing records…,” Dan captioned the post, where he’s seen lying down next to Liv, who’s wearing a blank expression with her legs crossed. According to their faces in the pic, fans are convinced they might have been playing songs for her record label—especially because a KATSEYE album released under Interscope and Geffen is sitting on the coffee table in front of them.
Olivia even weighed in, commenting, “The palpable stress in this photo hahahha.”
Though we don’t have a release date just yet and details on OR3 are pretty slim, O-Rod detailed her creative process for the album to Cosmo back in October 2025.
“On tour, it’s actually really difficult for me to write songs. I have so many friends who can grab their guitar in any random dressing room and write a great song, but I’ve just never been that way,” she explained, adding, “I always find that I’m the most inspired when I can be at home and feel really grounded and comfortable in my surroundings.”
She continued, “I didn’t write a ton of stuff that I think will make it into the world while I was on tour. I love writing to get my thoughts out, but I’m not sure any of it was really good. I’ve really been doing most of the meat and potatoes in my writing at my house in L.A.”
As for all those fan theories surrounding the album? Olivia has totally seen them, and she even debunked some for us at the time.
“I see a bunch of album title theories all the time, which is so fun. The latest one I saw was that it was going to be called CARD, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a fun idea but definitely not going to be the case,’” the Grammy winner dished without giving too much away.
Olivia added that she gets a kick out of seeing her fans’ ideas on social media, saying, “I love seeing people’s theories and them connecting all of these dots. It makes me happy that people care about the album enough to postulate and think about things.”
@ Olivia…we will always care, and we’re already seated for what you’re whipping up!
