- The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast members, including Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Taylor Frankie Paul, Miranda Hope, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Layla Taylor have been promoted to executive producers for season 4.
- Demi Engemann is reportedly the only cast member who was “snubbed” from the promotion, and it’s unclear whether she’s returning to the show in a major capacity.
- Here’s what we know about Demi’s fate on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4.
Though it seems like The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives literally just hit us with that bombastic season three finale, season four is just around the corner. And, in true MomTok fashion, the drama has already started as we wait for the latest slew of episodes to drop.
According to Deadline, most of the Hulu hit’s cast members—including Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Taylor Frankie Paul, Miranda Hope, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Layla Taylor—have been promoted to executive producers for season four (and beyond).
Whitney Leavitt, who was rumored to leave the show to pursue bigger projects, was even handed an EP credit. So, that leaves Demi Engemann, who is reportedly the only cast member who hasn’t been promoted. Naturally, it begs the question: Is she coming back to the show at all?
Given the EP news—and the fact that she’s also the only cast member that isn’t featured in the upcoming season’s promotional materials—fans are speculating that Demi got the boot from SLOMW.
In season three, Demi didn’t appear until episode six after Mikayla claimed she wanted to “get paid three times more than everyone else” to be on the show. “When she didn’t get that, she officially walked away from MomTok,” Mikayla shared, though Demi later explained, “Ultimately, it came down to just feeling like I wasn’t being valued.”
ICYMI, Demi’s relationships with the rest of MomTok were up in the air at the end of last season after she and Jessi were in the thick of a cheating scandal with Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette.
Drama aside, Deadline confirms that Demi will be back on our screens in the new season, including in the first episode. She’s allegedly been billed “as a friend, rather than one of the core cast.”
In the season four trailer, Demi seems to be following her dreams of becoming a pop star à la Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay when Layla asks, “Are you done with the show all together?”
Only time will tell, but it’s important to note that last season, Demi admitted she was returning to MomTok, saying, “I am back to set the record straight. I’m back to tell the truth, and I don’t feel like I’ve had a fair chance at sharing my story.”
