If you thought the messiest love triangle of Love Is Blind season 10 was going to be between Tyler, Keya, and Kevan, then you thought wrong. The next batch of episodes followed this season’s seven engaged couples back to Ohio, where families were met, fights were picked, and (spoiler alert!) one couple even called it quits due to their (*checks notes*) disparate views on how often one should do Pilates. Chris Fusco really showed his true colors after Cabo, and his ex, Jess Barrett, wasn’t the only one affected.
During an exclusive interview with Cosmo, we asked Connor Spies and Bri McNees about Chris’s attempt to come between them during that group hang in episode nine, and they had…thoughts! According to Chris, “After the bowling bar, I did get the full description of what was told by Chris to Bri, and at the end of the day...it brought me and Bri closer. I fully trusted her to do whatever she needed to at the party and even in Cabo—whatever chapter she needed to close with the other guys.”
And despite Chris’s attempt to convince Bri that Connor was a “submissive guy” and that she needed someone “more dominant,” he failed to change her mind. “Obviously, Chris trying to swoon her and take her from me didn’t work,” Connor pointed out.
So…are they friends after that awkward night out? According to Connor: “No, not right now.”
Bri told Cosmo that—even after he sent her a DM following his split with Jess—she was still “taken by surprise for the switch in Chris” at the bowling bar. “As we went into Pins, it was still a friendship to me,” she explained, even noting that the conversation started off “very friendly.” Then things took a turn.
According to Bri, it caught her “off guard,” when Chris started “talking about things that maybe felt a little bit inappropriate and surprising for me to hear.” (As a reminder: In addition to calling Connor “submissive,” Chris grilled Bri about her sex life with Connor and declared that the two “aren’t ready to get married.”)
She said of Chris, “We had had so many moments of connection before that as friends where he could have brought [his feelings for me] up. But he chose to bring it up in a very unconventional way, which may have been influenced by alcohol.” Feels like a safe assumption!
While Bri realizes that she humored that convo with Chris for longer than she should have (“I wanted to hear him out just because I valued that friendship and that connection that we had”), she said that she eventually told him, “I choose Connor, and I have chosen Connor, and I stand by my decision. It was really Connor or bust.”
The question remains, of course: Will Connor and Bri make it down the aisle despite Chris’s best efforts? We’ll have to see what happens as the season continues!
