Being Gordon Ramsay has officially dropped on Netflix, offering an intimate look at the celebrity chef’s family life alongside his professional journey. Across six episodes, the series follows Ramsay as he develops five new dining concepts inside London’s landmark 22 Bishopsgate, while also crossing the Atlantic to showcase iconic locations, including a special appearance from Hell’s Kitchen Las Vegas.

While several of Gordon’s friends, his wife, and most of his six children make appearances in the documentary, two of his children—Megan and Jack—are noticeably absent. Here’s why.

Why aren't Gordon Ramsay's children Megan and Jack in the Netflix documentary?

Tana, 51, and Gordon, 57, married in 1996 after first meeting through Tana’s boyfriend at the time. They have since welcomed six children together—Megan, 27; twins Jack and Holly, 26; Strictly Come Dancing star Tilly, 24; Oscar, 6; and Jesse, 2.

However, not all of their children appear in Gordon’s new Netflix series, which was released on Wednesday, February 18.

Speaking to Food Bible, Gordon explained that the absence of his two eldest children is largely due to their professions. Megan works as a police officer, while Jack serves in the Royal Marines.

"Meg’s a police officer, so just out of security for her, that’s crucial," he said, before joking: "And secondly, she said, 'Dad, if you ever get caught with your phone out at a traffic light, I will f*****g kill you.'"

He added that Jack is a "busy boy" and that, for safety reasons, "they can’t be anywhere near that."

Both children tend to keep a low profile, but Gordon has celebrated their achievements on Instagram. In 2019, he shared a photo of Megan in her graduation gown, writing: "So proud of this young Lady @megan__ramsay our first Ramsay ever to graduate with a degree @oxfordbrookes hard work pays off! Congratulations Megan love you Dad."

The following year, he posted an image of Jack in his military uniform, saying: "Can’t tell you enough how proud I am of this young man Jack Ramsay you’ve made me feel like the proudest father today congrats on joining @royalmarines what amazing achievement."

They also support their father’s work. In 2021, Megan attended the launch of Gordon's The River Restaurant alongside their mother, Tana, and sister Holly. Jack was present at the official launch party of Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay, posing for photos with his dad, sisters Tilly and Megan, their mother, David, and even Brooklyn Beckham.

While Megan and Jack are absent from the documentary, viewers do get glimpses of his daughter Holly. The series includes only a small amount of footage from her engagement party in London with Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, where Adam's mother, Caroline, also makes a brief appearance.

Tilly appears the most among Gordon’s older children, with the documentary including scenes of him dropping her off at culinary school, while his two youngest children also make regular appearances.
