Domhnall Gleeson has starred in everything from Ex Machina, to About Time, to Star Wars, but henceforth he shall be known in this household as Taylor Swift's love interest in the "Opalite" video. Truly, I've never seen a man have a more complex relationship with a cactus, and don't get me started on his mall-core dance moves.
Anyway, you probably didn't expect to wake up this morning absolutely needing to know everything about Domhnall's personal life, but he's out here in a IRL romance even sweeter than what Rock & Cactus have going on.
He's Married!
Domhnall is married to Juliette Bonass, who he met back when they were both in college at the Dublin Institute of Technology. But as of 2015 they weren't public, at least based on Juliette saying THIS in an Irish Independent interview:
"I've worked with him before. And done a couple of shorts with him, and comedy sketches with him for charity [...] He was working as an actor even when we were in fourth year. He was concentrating on his studies even while he was working, so fair play to him."
(Note: the Irish Independent also referred to him as a "close friend.")
FYI, clearly there was more than friendship going on, because these two made it official and got married in 2023.
Juliette's a Producer
She's worked on everything from Glassland, to Ghostlands, Rosie, Get Up and Go and A Date for Mad Mary. And obviously—based on the above interview—she and Domhnall have worked together before.
Her Dad Was a Musician
Brendan Bonass was a guitarist in Stepaside, and Juliette says "Back in the day, it was a big deal. It was kind of rocky poppy. I used to go to all their gigs growing up. It was great, I loved it. My mum would work really hard as well to try and support us, to try and balance it out. She's fantastic. I don't think he could have done it without her."
They're Pretty Private
As in, Juliette and Domhnall barely attend any events together despite their long-term friendship and relationship. There are these sightings, though!
