Bridgerton just dropped the trailer for Season 4 Part 2, and there are some scenes featuring characters in mourning outfits, strongly implying a character dies and the Bridgertons attend a funeral. Whose funeral, you ask? Unclear, but there are two pretty major possibilities, which could be a huge clue for whomst in the Bridgerton family is leading Season 5.

Option One: John Stirling
Book readers are well aware that John Stirling passes away, setting the stage for Francesca to fall for his cousin, Michaela. If John's death occurs in Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, it seems pretty likely that Francesca and Michaela's relationship will be the focus of Season 5.
Option Two: Marina Thompson
Book readers are also well aware that Eloise's story involves her falling for Phillip Crane after the death of his wife Marina (who you'll remember from Season 1). If Marina dies in Season 4 Part 2, it seems likely that Eloise and Phillip's relationship will be the focus of Season 5.
However, fans are pointing out that the Bridgertons likely wouldn't be at Marina's funeral...
So all signs are pointing to John. Either way, get ready to feel a lot of emotions when Part 2 drops on February 26.
