PinkPantheress spoke about her nominations with Billboard, saying, “It was very exciting for me to have seen both my project and something like ‘Illegal’ get nominated in such a wide sense. I’m gassed for myself as an artist, but I think more than anything I’m happy that what my music stands for and the type of people that enjoy my music, we can all celebrate together because at the end of the day, it’s still an alternative genre, it’s dance electronic, I’m just happy that there’s just representation there.”
