If you had high expectations for Tyla's look at the 2026 Grammy Awards, she! came! through! The “Push 2 Start” singer showed up on the red carpet wearing a gorgeous vintage gown from DSquared2 with crystal embellishments and a feather train, paired with Paris Texas’s Lidia Mule.
Tyla is nominated for Best African Music Performance tonight for “Push 2 Start,” alongside Burna Boy for “Love,” Davido Featuring Omah Lay for “WithYou,” Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin for “Hope & Love,” and Ayra Starr Featuring Wizkid for “Gimme Dat.”
Tyla’s second album is incoming, and she told Variety in 2025, “I had more time to work on this album than I did the first, so I have a lot of songs. It feels really current—this time, I’m living what I’m singing, and it feels way more personal. Way more like me.”
More recently, she said, “It’s going to be very fun. It’s going to be speaking about a lot of things that I’ve felt in the past year. Me, my life, and just about me being a 23-year-old girl as an African Popstar.”
