Beloved actor Catherine O'Hara, best known for her turns in Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and Schitt's Creek, has sadly died at the age of 71.

The news was confirmed by her agent to Variety, who said she passed away at home in Los Angeles following a brief illness.

A graduate of the legendary Second City TV troupe, Catherine made her mark on both the big and small screen throughout her impressive career which first took off in the 1970s, playings icons like the dramatic Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice and everyone's favorite mom, Kate McCallister, in Home Alone.

In more recent years, her portrayal of the diva-ish Moira Rose (a thespian gifted with an unidentifiable accent and a wardrobe packed full of “bébés”) on Schitt's Creek earned her a new army of fans, along with an Emmy.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Bo Welch, their two sons, Matthew and Luke.
