Luke Thompson is stepping into the spotlight for Bridgerton sesaon four, which largely focuses on Benedict Bridgerton's love story with Sophie Baek. And apparently Luke chose not to take his costars—aka the previous leads of the show—up on their offers of advice.

"I didn't. It was offered," Thompson told Entertainment Weekly. "People said, 'If you ever need help, then…' And that's great! I think I just wanted to make my mistakes and sort of battle my way through it, just because I think you probably learn more that way."

He noted that he "definitely would have" taken everyone up on their offer if things got tricky since "they're all very forthcoming."

"It's just so personal," he added. "The thing about Bridgerton is that every season it's slightly different. It's sort of regenerates, and part of that regeneration is that it's a different couple of actors at the center of it. So, in a way, it's difficult to even maybe be able to give advice, because it's such a personal experience.... It's not this formula that you have to just live up to, and the people who've done it before [are] like, 'This is how you do it.' Every year, it’s a different thing, and it gets to breathe in a slightly different way."

Noted! As a reminder (not that you need it), Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 is currently streaming on Netflix, and Part 1 is hitting the streaming platform in just a few weeks. Check out the full schedule:
