Hi, remember last November, when Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner deleted photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from Kris’s 70th birthday party and everyone lost their mind? Well, Kim is finally explaining what exactly went down with that alleged photo drama.

During her latest appearance on sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, the SKIMS founder explain why photos of the Sussexes seemingly disappeared from both her and her mom’s Instagram carousels from the event. “It was really innocent, which is so crazy. Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship,” she began. “We were told that it was totally cool to post.”

Then things got a lil complicated. “After it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day,” Kim continued. “And they didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down. And then I think they realized, like, ‘Oh, this was so silly.’ So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.”

DeuxMoi insiders speculated as much as the time, with one source noting “that the removal of these images may be linked to Markle not wearing the traditional red Remembrance poppy—a small but symbolically significant detail in the UK during November.”

According to Kim, the whole incident was a misunderstanding. “If we just made it light and made it funny, I think it would have been received differently—but I hated how that was received for everyone,” she told Khloé. “That sucks. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”

As a reminder: Back in November, sources claimed that Kim wasn’t too happy with the Sussexes’ reported request to remove their photo from her Instagram recap. In fact, the Daily Mail reported that the Kardashians were “baffled” that the Sussexes requested photos be removed, considering they were “happy to be pictured” at the Baby2Baby Gala a few hours prior.

“Kim was like, ‘You’ve already been papped outside, and you were at the Baby2Baby event the same night being photographed like Meghan Trainor and Paris Hilton, so what’s the problem?’” an insider claimed, adding that “Kim is pissed off.”
