• David and Victoria Beckham would take Brooklyn Beckham back "in a minute," but won't reconcile with Nicola Peltz "in the picture."
  • Brooklyn feels more support from Nicola than "from his parents in his entire life."
  • Per a source, Victoria started acting like a "jealous girlfriend" when Brooklyn and Nicola got together.

It's been just over a week since Brooklyn Beckham's Instagram Statement™ and the fallout with the Beckham family is acute. David and Victoria have largely stayed silent amid their son claiming they tried to "ruin" his relationship, but privately? They're reeling.

"They are staying quiet because they don’t want to draw more attention to it," a source tells People, while another adds "David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son. They would take him back in a minute."

That said, yet another insider notes that "The Beckhams have no intention of reconciling with their son unless Nicola is out of the picture. But that’s not an ultimatum he’s going to cave on. Brooklyn has felt more support from his wife in these past three years than from his parents in his entire life." Oh, and someone else says "David and Victoria believe that over time Brooklyn will come back. But they can’t do anything until then."

As for what's going on between Victoria and Nicola, a Peltz source says they "got along in the first few months, but then Victoria started acting like a jealous girlfriend," while a Beckham insider insisted "Nicola is the one who is jealous of Victoria."

In his statement, Brooklyn exposed the way his parents have allegedly treated Nicola over the years, saying Victoria "cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour," and even told him she was "not blood" ahead of their wedding. And then there's the fact that Brooklyn claimed his mom "hijacked" his first dance, saying "She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life."
