Summer House stars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula just announced their breakup after four years of marriage, and now Andy Cohen is weighing in.
The reunion host chatted about the breakup on last night's episode of Watch What Happens Live, saying "I am sure that was a difficult decision. But we are proud of you two for choosing what is best for you, because to paraphrase a certain someone, marriage should be fun."
Kyle and Amanda announced their split on Monday, writing in a joint statement "After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple. We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing."
They added, "It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter."
The split was definitely unexpected considering Kyle and Amanda have been shutting down breakup rumors for the past few months. Back in November, a Page Six source said the pair were "going through a challenging time," but were "not on a break" and were "both committed to working on their relationship."
Unclear what changed, but reminder that Summer House premieres in just a few weeks on February 3, so we'll definitely find out.
