Millie Bobby Brown has done it again, which is to say she's turned up and out looking as glamorous as ever, in turn, making everyone else's looks feel deeply inadequate. This occasion, it was the Joy Awards held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, over the weekend, where the Stranger Things actor debuted an ultra-short, shaggy bob haircut—a far departure from her recent cascading style.
The cut itself is doing a lot with very little, proof that sometimes less is more! It's choppy, feathered and sits just above the jaw, and the style is finished with undone shaggy volume (credit: a great texture spray).
Now, yes, Millie has had a bob before, plenty of times before, even. She's flirted with short hair in various incarnations over the years, from sleek and polished to blunt and grown-up. But this one? This is playful, a little messy, and somehow her best yet.
Of course, in the spirit of honesty (and because the internet refuses to let anyone live), we must acknowledge the unmistakable Hollywood red carpet beauty question: Is it a wig? Possibly. Likely, even. Celebrities do love a transformative moment without the commitment, and wigs are the beauty equivalent of emotional non-attachment. But does it matter? Not really. The message (read: look) has been positively received.
Whether clipped on or chopped off, the shaggy bob is very much having a moment, and Millie has officially entered its era...even if it comes with a lace front.
