- Glambot director Cole Walliser responded to claims Jennifer Lopez was "rude" at the 2026 Golden Globes.
- J.Lo was accused of being rude in behind-the-scenes footage Cole posted of the moment.
- Cole says he didn't take it "personally."
Jennifer Lopez showed up at the Golden Globes (looking jaw-dropping in a completely sheer dress, fwiw), and naturally stopped by to do E!'s iconic Glambot. But the singer was accused of being "rude" after director Cole Walliser posted behind-the-scenes content of her pose—with people wondering why she didn't stop for a chat.
However! Turns out there's more to this story than meets the eye, which Cole was quick to explain in a follow-up video.
"There was a person outside of J.Lo in that conversation, and that person was me," Cole said, pointing out that Glambots are completely elective and no celebs are forced to do it.
As for the J.Lo interaction, Cole said "I didn’t take it personally, it didn’t feel rude in that moment. There's a couple things that added to the fuel of this idea. One, she’s just down to business, the carpet was closed, she’s ready to go inside, she knew what she was going to do when she got into the position and I think it was just, like, unfortunate that the position was facing away from me ... That moment didn’t feel rude."
Cole also explained that, actually, he's "never" felt like a celeb's been rude, explaining, "When people are distracted, or less chatty, or thinking about other stuff, I don’t take it personally."
