Dearest Gentle Reader,
As you are definitely already well aware, Bridgerton season 4 is incoming. But the time has already come to turn your attention to season 5 and season 6!
Showrunner Jess Brownell revealed who the leads of the show will be for the next two seasons, unveiling the information via...pocket square. Speaking to Deadline on the red carpet at Bridgerton’s premiere last night, Jess said, “Both characters with the initials on my pocket squares will get seasons in 5 and 6. In what order? I can’t say.”
The initials in question were E and F, so clearly the upcoming seasons will focus on Eloise and Francesca.
Meanwhile, season 4 centers around Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek! Luke Thompson told Netflix, “The storyline is a bit of a twist on Cinderella. You remember being told those stories as a child—the magic and the romance of them. It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton….It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”
Yerin Ha added of playing the lead: “What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles—something that she constantly has to overcome. Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”
Bridgerton season 4 drops in two parts on January 29 and February 26, with eight episodes total.
