Update 1/7: Well, looks like Netflix just got as close to denying this theory as they're going to get. The official Instagram just updated their bio to read "ALL EPISODES OF STRANGER THINGS ARE NOW PLAYING."
And all episode do not include a new one, so!
Original story: No one panic, but the internet thinks an entire new, highly secret, episode of Stranger Things is dropping today. You're probably thinking "wow, everyone has lost their minds and cannot accept that this show is over," but trust: this theory is compelling. Like, 10/10 chance you are going to become a believer.
On that note: what is Conformity Gate? Fans have found clues throughout the finale of Stranger Things that "prove" another episode is coming on January 7, which will allegedly reveal the finale was actually a super meta vision being cast by Vecna (who actually WON). The evidence is abundant, and this TikTok lays it out very clearly:
There's also the fact that people typed "fake ending" on official Stranger Things TikTok accounts, and a picture of the kids allegedly popped up—which is also laid out in this video:
Oh, and apparently there's a message in morse code?
To quote the official Slim Jims account (?) commenting on the above, "I STILL BELIEVE."
Anyway, Netflix hasn't confirmed or deny anything, but again: the theory states that a new episode will drop today. So...stay tuned?
