Do you stay up at night wondering where the Mind Flayer is, and fearing the Duffer Brothers forgot all about it? Same, but fans think they might have gotten a glimpse at our old frenemy in the final trailer for Stranger Things Season 5.
As a reminder, the Mind Flayer was originally presented as the "big bad" in Stranger Things. And Dustin—who is almost never wrong—even theorized that Vecna was simply the Mind Flayer's 5-star general. Fans are divided over whether this is the Mind Flayer's physical non-smokey form, or whether the gang are simply looking at a rock in the sky. However, someone on Reddit pointed out that this is very similar to what the Mind Flayer looks like in the Stranger Things stage play (rock-like), and once you see it, you can't unsee it.
